Well, I have just gone back to Linux Ubuntu, as I did before.. But when I first tried it, I got bored of it after 2 days and went to Vista..

But I’m bored of Vista and XP, so I’m currently on Ubuntu, but no doubt I’ll change again soon…

Okay, so I know what you’re thinking, “I don’t care, just how do I install this stuff??”…
And I know, sorry I do go on a bit hehe…

If you don’t know much about the Terminal, then don’t worry, because neither do I.. But, installing Windows software on Linux, will pretty much need it, so I will explain it as best I can…

Firstly, Google for Wine, and download and install it…
Lets say, for example, you wanted to install Steam…

Go to http://www.steampowered.com, and download the SteamInstall.msi file…
Then open up the Terminal…

You will now need to go to the directory of SteamInstall.msi, so if you put it on the desktop, you would type in:
cd Desktop

Okay great, you are now in the correct directory, now type in:
wine start SteamInstall.msi

This will tell Wine, to open SteamInstall.msi.. The installation file will then begin!

However, making sure Steam is closed, you will need to download the Tahoma font, and place it in C:\Windows\Fonts.. (This is the Wine C Drive)…

To do this, go to Applications > Wine > Browse C:\ Drive…

And thats it!

If you have any problems, please leave a comment…
